This is a tutorial for disabling apple remote control. This is a problem mainly if you have two macs and you want to control the pause, play and adjust volume on one mac and not to be in conflict with the other.

To disable the remote control:

1. Open “System Prefences”
2. Click “Security”
3. Check the box “Disable remote control infrared receiver”
