Another interesting post on converting things. This time though it is different. I found two softwares that you can use to convert a document in supported format into a pdf file that can be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader. PDF file are used online because it is mainly portable. Anyway, you can use either CutePDF Writer or PrimoPDF.
CutePDF Writer
Portable Document Format (PDF) is the de facto standard for the secure and reliable distribution and exchange of electronic documents and forms around the world. CutePDF Writer (formerly CutePDF Printer) is the free version of commercial PDF creation software. CutePDF Writer installs itself as a “printer subsystem”. This enables virtually any Windows applications (must be able to print) to create professional quality PDF documents - with just a push of a button!
FREE for commercial and non-commercial use! No watermarks! No Popup Web Ads!
Supports Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista (x32/x64) and Requires PS2PDF converter such as Ghostscript (recommended). You can get the free GPL Ghostscript 8.15 here.
PrimoPDF
Allows you to create PDF files from any files you can print including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Convert any file to PDF. Super-fast creation with drag-and-drop and batch conversion.
- Edit PDF files with text, image, and page editing tools.
- View, print, annotate, secure, sign and collaborate using PDF.
- Convert PDF to Microsoft Word, RTF, text, and images.
I would personally prefer using primopdf for just doing the job but if you are alway doing this, then you should probably go for the CutePDF Writer.
