After a recent release of wordpress, we can use Wordpress Turbo powered by Google Gears. It allows you to speed up wordpress loading process as it stores files on your computer which allows local access.
You can also use this feature with wordpress.com blogs. To enable this feature, login to your Wordpress.com blog dashboard and click on the Turbo link on the left top navigation bar. It will prompt you to download Google Gears extension which allows it to store files.
This will speed up administration file loading process to a huge extent as now all files will be loaded locally from your PC. Google Gears currently works on Firefox versions 2 & 3 and Internet Explorer versions 6 & 7 and Safari 3 support is coming soon. I use this feature because there are some routing problems with this website loading with my ISP and it is particularly hard to fix these routing issue and to change route.
Self hosted Wordpress users will be able to make use of this feature in the upcoming Wordpress 2.6
